We see followers of Christ responding with compassion, walking beside those who have suffered injustice, and standing up for public policies that reflect God’s heart for justice. Our foundation comes from the parable of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25, reminding us that the way we treat the most vulnerable shows how we respond to Jesus Himself. We imagine believers who have faced injustice and others with privilege or resources working together in unity and mutual respect, giving honor to those who have been overlooked, just as 1 Corinthians 12:24 teaches. Those with resources grow in their passion for justice, recognizing that we are one family in Christ and that this family is suffering under a broken immigration system. At the same time, those who have experienced injustice find renewed hope, realizing they are not alone but surrounded by a caring Christian family. This exchange of hope and passion strengthens our shared commitment to building a more just and compassionate society. We also picture a community where generations walk side by side, where the young and the old respect one another and each contribute their gifts.
